Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (or CBT) is a short-term, goal oriented psychotherapy treatment that takes a hands-on, practical approach to problem-solving.
The goal of CBT is to change patterns of thinking or behavior that are ultimately responsible for a person’s difficulties, and in doing so change the way they feel for the better. Cognitive Behavioral Therapy helps you learn to change your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors by targeting your reactions to challenging situations; so that you may react more effectively. Additionally, CBT also helps to make you feel better about situations happening around you that you are unable to change.
Unlike most talk therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy is focused on problem-solving, and aims to help you achieve specific goals in your life. CBT is flexible, and can help to combat anything and everything that may be causing you anxiety or stress.
Both in-office and online telehealth sessions are available.
